Finance Committee Makes Progress

 

Charles Donelan, committee chairman, said Douglas Graham, Museum Vice President For Finance, along with Executive Director David DiEugenio have updated the Museum Financial Statement.  The 990 Tax Return is complete and available on our web site www.vintageautomuseum.org.  Click on the “about us” tab.  Also, the documents are available for review on request.  Our Matching Donor Campaign and our Mustang Raffle have exceeded our expectations.  We wish to thank all our members and friends for the outstanding support given this year.

 

Concert In The Park

 

Tim O’Rourke set up our Mustang raffle at Veterans Park in Berkeley Twp. To attract customers, he presented the hardtop raffle car flanked by a Mustang convertible on one side and the Mustang fastback on the other side.  In the photo below, Howard Saloom is standing near his red 1965 Mustang fastback.  The idea worked and thousands of spectators enjoyed the display. Many bought chances and the Mustang raffle fundraiser has been a success again this year. Raffle coordinator, John Mahoney, thanks all Trustees and members who have worked so hard on this project.

MEMORIAL DONATIONS

Sometimes flowers may not be appropriate.  As a nice alternative, when you make a memorial donation to the Museum, a card in your name is sent to the bereaved to celebrate the life of their loved one.  Call Dave for more information. 609-971-8020

 

First Museum Car Show

It was a hit! About 100 awesome cars registered for our car show in Jackson. Our host, Central Jersey Italian American Club, provided an excellent facility and full cooperation to make a pleasant experience for everyone.  Below are some photos from the show.

BUILDING COMMITTEE UPDATE

Committee Chairman, Gary Stabile, is pleased to report solid progress on the Museum building plans. At a recent meeting, architect Allen Robinson presented the second draft of the VAMNJ blue prints. The prints may be seen online at www.vintageautomuseum.org, under the Museum floor plan tab, or by appointment with the Museum Trustees. Gary and the committee are completing the building materials list while waiting for our Pinelands application to be approved by the NJ Pinelands Commission.

 

300 CLUB FOR 2007 IS READY TO GO.  TARGET A $10,000  WINNER.

The last big “fun” raiser for the year is underway. Last year we gave away the biggest single cash prize of the year to one winner, Mr. John Casiello. This year we plan to give 6 prizes.  A $10,000 first prize and five $1,000 prizes if all tickets are sold. There are only 300 tickets printed at $100 each. VINTAGE AUTO CLUB SHOW

 

The 28th Annual VACOC Car Show was outstanding, as usual, with 298 cars registered. We had a beautiful day, a terrific crowd and a lot of fun for everybody. The Vintage Auto Museum appreciates the opportunity to present our Mustang raffle and have the drawing at the show.  This year the winner of the beautiful 1966 Mustang Coupe was Mrs. Geri-Ann Fracasso of Forked River, NJ.  She, along with her husband and three children, picked up the Mustang and drove it home with a smile on her face.
